If you drop it on a your expensive carpet or marble counter, get a wet towel. you can wax yourself and just hop in the shower. It is also all natural so if someone for some reason beyond me swallows it, no need to freak out. The muslin strips are a one time cost. If you wash them after every use and hang them out to dry you will literally never have to purchase them again. My aunt has had hers for 15 years. With this wax the hotter you can take it the better,the wax will be thinner when you take it out and it goes onto your skin thus, you use less and each jar lasts longer. I am arab, persian, AND indian. I have all the possible ethnic traits for thick, coarse hair. Take it from me this product works! This is definitely comparable to salon wax. I have to admit that the wax strip kit is easier only because it doesn't require a microwave, BUT I definitely would much rather use the Gigi Brazilian Bikini Hard Wax Microwave Kit!!! I was surprised when I read that the hard wax isn't as painful as other wax options and IT'S TRUE. The hard wax doesn't stick to your skin like other 'sticky' waxes do. Therefore, your skin doesn't get pulled and it isn't as irritated afterwards. Yes, it does still hurt because you ARE pulling hair out by the roots but it doesn't hurt like you'd expect. The hard wax also has a very pleasant scent and cleans up fairly well once it dries. I had read someone's review who recommended sitting on newspaper because of how messy it was. I know how much nicer waxing is than shaving...but wax is so messy. Especially if you aren't at a salon and don't have all the same tools at home. I also have a microwave wax kit and it is no where near as awesome as this! Yes, waxing gets the job done but a microwave kit means reheating over and over, uneven application, and messy sticky countertops and legs. With MOOM I have none of that! The temperature of MOOM stays consistent for much longer than microwave wax, and glides on very thinly. I did both of my legs and there is still so much product in the jar I can probably do them 20 more times! Amazing. It really gets all the little hairs just like waxing. Except when I was done I wiped off the counters and my legs and was good to go. No residue!!! I washed the strips and laid them flat to dry. Obviously, there are differences between this and another product. This one is less sticky and easier to clean up after. Especially when the wax was on the skin, wiping off was harder with the other product. Also, when I wash the wax off the cotton sheet that is used for hair removal, the wax comes off easier than the other products. Another important difference is that removing hair with this product is less painful than using the other product. Since then I never look back. I don't expect that there is any better product on this planet for hair removal with this price. If your room is very warm you don't have to heat the wax before using it. I live in a tropical city... I have some tough facial fur and was introduced to waxing quite late in life. When your close-up vision is going you don't want to be spreading heavy wax around your eyes! Wax also used to leave my skin red and irritated for hours, even when done by a professional. I thought this product might be too messy, and not strong enough for me, but was wrong on both counts. The instructions say not to warm it for the face, but you can still spread it fairly thin. It's painless and gets ALL the hair. I simply rinse the cloth strips and the applicators out in the sink after rinsing my skin. Moom does not irritate my skin at all. In fact it leaves my face silky smooth and very soft, and I'm already finding the grow-back time to be lengthening. You really can't make a mistake with this product. At least not one that a little warm water can't take care of! It's inexpensive too. I expect...
